Growing up doing theatre, I had to start learning about makeup at an early age. I got my first makeup kit when I was five, and developed a tutorial addiction by the time I was thirteen. Needless to say, I’ve had a long time to figure out what works best for me and my lifestyle.

I have sensitive, combination skin that is prone to stress based break-outs. So when I’m taking care of my skin, I am conscious of what is going to be gentle, but also tough enough to keep my face clear. I’ve been using the Biore Charcoal Cleanser for three years now, and its great for keeping my skin in check.

My sister hooked me on witch hazel two years ago as a toner, and my skin has since thanked me for no longer using astringent like I used too. Its also wayyyy cheaper.

I’ve always found regular moisturizers super oily and gross, so I recently started using Garnier’s gel moisturizer, and I haven’t looked back! It always leaves my skin feeling super soft and not oily in the slightest.

Growing up on youtube, I tested out my fair share of foundations. With that said, I’m no where near the makeup obsessed fiend I used to be, I’ve found two affordable foundations at the drug store that I go back to time and time again for their buildable coverage and long lasting finish. In winter, I use Wet n Wild’s photophocus foundation in the shade porcelain, whereas in the summer (or in shows) I use L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Matte in 102 Shell Beige.

I stay up (admittedly) way to late every night, so I need a pretty strong concealer to cover the evidence of that up. I love Maybelline Age Rewind is great for covering up dark circles, but I prefer their regular Fit Me concealer for highlighting and covering up acne.

I looove eyeshadow, but if I’m honest, I tend to wear the same looks over and over. My all-time favorite pallette is the Too-Faced Chocolate Bar. Mine is certainly expired, as I’ve been using it for years.

I only recently got into eyeliner, most likely because I always seem to mess it up. The Physicians Formula Eye Booster has a brush tip and comes in a pen like applicator, which always seems wayyy easier to me than traditional eyeliners to use

Mascara is my favorite makeup item to play around with. Over the years I’ve bounced between Covergirl’s Lashblast Fusion, Maybelline Big Shot, L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black, Too Faced Better Than Sex, and my personal favorite, Benefit They’re Real. I also use Maybelline’s Great Lash clear mascara to set my brows every day.

Admittedly I used to have a problem with liquid lipsticks. I still adore Wet n Wild’s liquid catsuit lipsticks, but now I tend to swing for some less drying options. My all time favorite lipstick is the L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick with Jennifer Lopez, however on a day to day basis I just use chapstick and Benefit’s Benetint on my cheeks and lips.
